San Diego Reentry Roundtable
About Us: We are the Education Subcommittee of San Diego Reentry Roundtable. San Diego Reentry Round table aims to promote the safe and successful return to the community for those who have been incarcerated. The Education Subcommittee seeks to partner with local non-profits, for-profit, government agencies, universities, community colleges, and vocational schools to provide educational information and support for the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated returning to our community. Our group is comprised of educators, representatives from community-based organizations and governmental agencies, community members, and formerly incarcerated individuals. The Mission of the Education Subcommittee is to provide a forum to discuss educational opportunities, information, and resources for the adult and juvenile incarcerated population throughout San Diego County.

OFFICE HOURS: We hold office hours the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at a San Diego County library. If you need help getting started or continuing education, come see us! We provide assistance with job and education applications, and with navigating the computer. We will connect you with reentry resources and tutoring services. Please reach out to Dr. Bridget Burden below for details about location and time for each month (as we rotate between libraries).

GRID Alternatives San Diego
About Us: Local leaders tout San Diego as "America's Solar City", but dig a little deeper and you won't find many solar rooftops in San Diego's low-income neighborhoods. GRID Alternatives San Diego is working to change that. From San Ysidro to Escondido, Barrio Logan to Julian, we are bringing the power of solar electricity to low-income families, rooftop by rooftop, at the rate of about two homes a week. And we do it all with the help of community volunteers and job trainees, who can use the experience to help them get jobs in the rapidly growing solar industry.

Who Do We Serve: Our program is dedicated to serving a diverse population, including individuals from marginalized communities, those who have been formerly incarcerated, high school dropouts, students with behavioral challenges, students with learning disabilities, students in need of a smaller learning environment, and undocumented students. We are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive educational experience that addresses the unique needs of each student, fostering their growth, and empowering them to reach their full potential.

A non-classroom based California public charter school serving grades TK-12 and young adults ages 18-24. They educate students who are seeking independent study and an alternative to traditional schooling with an enriched virtual blended learning model. Mental Health First Aid Program
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses.
